KORIAVAULT

Terms

In force from 23 August 2026.

These terms are the agreement between you and the operator of Koria Vault. They cover the website at koriavault.com and the game at play.koriavault.com. By registering an account you accept them.

Operator: Guilherme, sole operator of Koria Vault, Brazil. Contact: contact@koriavault.com

1. Read this first

A Vault runs for thirteen weeks and is then archived. When it is archived, your colonies, your fleets, your research and your resources are destroyed, and your Credits are set to zero. This is by design. It is not a fault, not a reset caused by a problem, and not something that can be appealed.

What survives an archival: your account, your display name, your Marks balance, any collectibles or cosmetics, your titles, and a permanent entry in the Archive recording what you did and in which Vault.

This is first, and in bold, because it is the most surprising thing about this game, and because a player who discovers it in week twelve has been treated badly. If it is not acceptable to you, do not register.

2. Definitions

  • Service — the website, the game, and everything served from either.
  • Vault — one season of the game. Thirteen weeks, then archived.
  • Account — your registration, identified by an email address.
  • Credits — the seasonal currency. Destroyed when a Vault closes.
  • Marks — the permanent currency. Survives archival.
  • Content — anything you enter: display names, colony names, messages.

3. Your account

  • One account per person. Additional accounts run by the same person — including accounts used to feed resources to a main one — may all be suspended. This is the rule most often broken and the one most damaging to everyone else’s game.
  • Your login is yours. Do not share it, sell it, or let somebody else play it. You are responsible for what happens under it.
  • There is currently no password reset. An account whose password is lost cannot be recovered by you or by us. Use a password manager. This is being fixed; until it is, treat the account as something you could lose.
  • Age. At least 16 in the European Economic Area without the consent of a parent or guardian, and at least 13 elsewhere.
  • Accuracy. Give a real email address you control. It is the only way we can reach you.
  • Dormancy. We may close an account unused for a long period, after trying to reach the address on it.

4. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Automate play. No bots, scripts, macros, or any tool that plays for you or acts faster than a person using the interface. The game is asynchronous and deliberately does not reward being present, so there is nothing an automated tool wins that is worth having.
  • Exploit bugs. If you find one, report it to contact@koriavault.com. Using one for advantage is grounds for suspension, and gains obtained that way may be reversed.
  • Attack the service. No attempts to overload, penetrate, reverse-engineer for circumvention, scrape at volume, or interfere with anyone else’s access.
  • Harass anyone. No threats, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, or abuse — in any field a player can type into.
  • Impersonate another player, the operator, or anyone else.
  • Trade for real money. No selling or buying accounts, items, resources or currency for money or anything of value. See section 7.
  • Break the law, or use the service to help anyone else do so.

We may remove content, rename an account, reverse gains, suspend, or close, in proportion to what happened.

5. Fair play

The competitive rules of the game are part of these terms:

  • Alliances and diplomacy are allowed and encouraged, including deceiving other players inside the fiction. Lying about a scouting report is play. Lying about who you are is impersonation.
  • Multi-accounting is not allowed — see section 3.
  • Interfering with another player’s account — guessing passwords, social engineering, phishing — is grounds for immediate closure and may be a criminal matter.

6. Content you create

Display names, colony names and messages remain yours. By entering them you grant a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, display and transmit them within the service and for operating it — and no further. We do not use your content for advertising and we do not license it to anyone else.

Some fields are published. Exactly which is in the Privacy Policy, section 4.

We may remove or change content that breaks these terms, and we may change a display name that does.

7. Nothing in the game has real-money value

Credits, Marks, resources, structures, fleets, collectibles, titles and accounts are not property, not currency, and carry no monetary value. They cannot be redeemed for money. They are a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use features within the service, which ends when your account ends.

Selling or buying any of it for real money is prohibited, and may result in every account involved being closed.

If purchases ever exist, they will buy appearance, collectibles and titles — never resources, never build time, never an advantage in a live contest. That is a design commitment as much as a legal statement, and this section is where you should hold us to it. There are no purchases in the service today.

8. Intellectual property

The service, its code, artwork, music, text, names and the Koria Vault setting belong to the operator and are protected by copyright. These terms grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for playing it, and nothing more.

You may take screenshots and video and share them, including commercially — on a stream, a video channel, a review. That permission is given gladly and can be withdrawn only for abuse.

If you believe something here infringes your rights, write to contact@koriavault.com with enough detail to identify it.

9. The service is in development, and it changes

Koria Vault is being built in the open.

  • Features will change, be added and be removed, including ones you rely on.
  • Balance numbers will change. Costs, yields and build times are not promises.
  • The current universe is test data. Before launch, all of it — accounts included — may be deleted without notice. A real season will be announced as one.
  • The service may be unavailable for maintenance, for a deploy, or because something broke. There is no uptime guarantee and no service level agreement.

We may discontinue the service entirely. If we do, we will give as much notice as we reasonably can.

10. Suspension and closure

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where it is practical and would not defeat the purpose, we will say why and give you a way to reply. Serious cases — attacks on the service, content involving minors — are acted on immediately.

You may close your own account at any time, for any reason, without explanation. Closing removes you from every public page immediately. What happens to the underlying data is in the Privacy Policy, section 6.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any particular feature will exist or keep existing.

Nothing in this section limits rights you have as a consumer under the Brazilian Código de Defesa do Consumidor or equivalent law where you live.

12. Liability

To the fullest extent Brazilian law permits, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss; for lost profits, data or opportunity; or for game progress destroyed by the ordinary operation of a Vault ending — which, as section 1 says, is the entire design.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty Brazilian reais. You have paid us nothing, because there is nothing to pay for.

Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be excluded by law — including under the Código de Defesa do Consumidor, which limits what a clause like this can do and prevails over it where they conflict.

13. Indemnity

If a third party brings a claim against us because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable cost of dealing with it. This does not apply to anything caused by us.

14. Force majeure

We are not responsible for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control: hosting or network failure at our providers, outages of the wider internet, government action, natural disaster, or war.

15. Changes to these terms

Material changes are announced in the game at least 14 days before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page changes. Continuing to play after that means you accept them; if you do not, close your account, and if the change disadvantages you materially you may do so at any point before it takes effect.

16. General

  • Severability. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stands and the unenforceable part is read down to what is lawful.
  • No waiver. Not enforcing a term once does not give it up.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours if the service changes hands, and will say so first.
  • Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about the service.
  • Notices. To you: the email address on your account, or a notice in the game. To us: contact@koriavault.com.
  • Language. These terms are written in English. A translation is a convenience; the English governs.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil.

Disputes go to the courts of Brazil. If you are a consumer, nothing here removes your right to bring proceedings where you live, or your right under Article 101 of the Código de Defesa do Consumidor to sue in your own domicile.
